Delete your account

Delete from inside the app

If you still have the app installed, tap the You tab, then Data & privacy. Under Delete account, tap Delete my account, type DELETE, and tap Permanently delete. The same screen offers an export first. You can also get there from Account & sign-in › Export or delete my data.

If you cannot sign in

If you have forgotten your password, go to ohmylittlethings.com/recover. We email a 6-digit code to the address on your account. Once you enter it and confirm the name we show you, you can choose a new password, or sign in on your phone by scanning a code instead.

If email is not reaching you, your partner can get you back in: in their app they go to You › Account & sign-in › Send my partner a sign-in code. On your sign-in screen, under or sign in with a code, tap Type a code and enter your email and their code. Once you are in, you can delete the account from inside the app.

What deleting removes, and what stays

Deleted, including the files themselves:

• Your account itself: your name, email address, password and date of birth.
• Your photos and your voice notes.
• The You two photos: your own photo, your private photo of your partner, and the couple banner. Your partner's private photo of you is deleted too.
• The facts recorded about you, by either of you, and any corrections to them.
• The private notes you wrote, including gift plans.
• Your chat messages, including earlier versions of messages you edited, and your reactions to messages.
• Your wishlist, your answers (mood questions included), your quiz guesses (and your partner's guesses about you), your place notes, the trip memories you added, and the people entries on your side or that you added.
• The to-dos you added.
• The movies and shows you added to Watch together, with any reactions to them, and your own reactions to the rest of the list.
• Your own Our day routines and their check-offs.
• Your settings, your notification registrations and the record of notifications sent to you, and any pending password-reset or sign-in codes.
• Any export archive we are holding for you.

Kept, with your name removed:

• The facts you wrote about your partner, other than private ones. They stay on their side, without your name attached.
• Shared trips, trip plans and packing lists.
• Calendar plans and memories you created, except entries you marked as busy time, which are deleted.
• Corrections you made to your partner's facts.
• To-dos your partner added that were assigned to you or that you checked off.
• Shared Our day routines you added, and your check-offs on shared routines.

Not touched at all:

• Your partner's account, and their own gallery photos, messages and answers.

This is immediate and permanent

Deletion happens straight away. There is no grace period and no waiting window, and we never use our backups to bring an account back: copies in our backups are deleted automatically within 14 days. Any other device you are signed in on is signed out at once. Export first if you want a copy.

What happens to your partner

Deleting your account ends the pairing. Your partner's account is not deleted, and their own gallery photos, messages and answers are not deleted. What they can still open afterward is the same as after an unpair, which is explained under Unpairing on our support page. You cannot be paired back to a deleted account.
