This page is not linked from anywhere public. It always points at the newest test build, so it is worth keeping — when there is an update, this is where it appears.

Checking the current build…

Get it from Google Play Recommended

The test build is on Play's internal testing track. Installing it this way means updates arrive on their own and Android never shows you an "unknown source" warning. Open this on the phone, while signed in to Google with the address the invite was sent to, and tap Become a tester — then Download it on Google Play.

The same build as a file. Use this if the Play link says you are not on the tester list, or if you would rather not wait for Play to catch up — a new build shows up here the moment it is built, and on Play a few minutes later.

Android will stop you twice, and both are normal for a file that did not come from the store. Tap the downloaded file, and when it says Chrome is not allowed to install apps, tap Settings → Allow from this source → back. Then Play Protect will say the app is unknown: tap Install anyway. Installing over an older copy keeps everything you have already written.

Signing in

If your partner sent you a code — open the app and tap My partner sent me a code on the first screen. Enter the code, then your email and a password. That makes the account and pairs the two of you in one go.
If you are starting first — tap Create an account. When you're in, the app gives you a code to send to your partner. Nothing works until both of you are in.
If you already had the app — tap I already have an account and sign in with the same email and password as before. You do not need a new code: pairing survives an update, and a code you already used cannot be used again.
If you are locked out and cannot remember your password — your partner can let you back in without email. They open the app, go to Account & sign-in, tap Send my partner a sign-in code, then tap Generate a code for my partner. They get a 6-character code that lasts 15 minutes. On the sign-in screen, tap Use a partner code, enter your email and that code, and you are in. The app then asks you to set a password you will remember.

Email-based password reset is not yet enabled on the server. If you tap Forgot your password? the app will try and nothing will arrive — use the partner code route instead, or write to hello@ohmylittlethings.com and the owner can reset it manually.

When something's wrong

Reply to the invite email, or write to hello@ohmylittlethings.com. What helps most: which screen, what you tapped, and what happened instead. A screenshot is worth more than a description.

Nothing in the app is a demo. What you write in the test build is your real data, it stays between the two of you, and it carries forward to the released version.
